GET RID OF WRINKLES
Nothing gives away our age quite so much as wrinkles,
especially of the face - fine lines at the outer corner of the smile
lines of the eyes (known as crow's feet). Thinning and loss of tone
to the skin is one of the hallmarks of the aging process.
Can we do anything about it? You bet.
First, any good anti-aging measure is good for the
skin and complexion. Number one among those I would put a healthy
diet. It needs to be constructed on a person by person basis, working
out the foods which suit you personally. I explain how to do this
in the book diet wise.
BOTOX
We all know what this is. It’s a toxin (Botulinum
toxin). It works by paralyzing the nerves to the face, those which
cause expression and wrinkles.
There are several problems with this treatment:
It can go wrong and produce deformity, even in skilled
hands
After a while it stops working. By this stage most
of the facial muscles are paralyzed anyway. It is very limited.
You will have a mask like face. You’ll wish you
hadn’t done it by this time but it’s irreversible.
HOMEOPATHIC BOTOX (better!)
This is not a homeopathic preparation of Botulinum
toxin but a completely different formula. A preparation called MADE
was developed by Massimo Debelli of Italy (hence it’s name)
and it is quite logical. It contains all kinds of good tissue energizing
and nourishing substances, all harmless.
MADE is intended to be injected at select acupuncture
sites around the face, rather like mesotherapy.
It is normally done bi-weekly and can be continued
and/or repeated as often as you like.
Homeopathic does not produce the rapid and disastrous
destruction of normal facial tissue. Rather, it gently encourages
regeneration and restoration of skin tissues.
CHELATION
One of the more dramatic effects of EDTA chelation
therapy is the diminishment of wrinkles and a return of softer, more
supple looking skin.
The late Dr. Charlie Farr, from Oklahoma, performed
studies that supports this happy finding. Before he began treating
a group of older patients with chelation therapy, he took samples
of skin from their arms. He discovered that the common stiffness
and dryness they experienced with age was a result of cross-linkages
of calcium. Following chelation therapy he noticed the cross linkages
were gone, and his patients were reporting softer, smoother skin.
Aging involves hard arteries and soft bones. The process
of aging is what researchers and doctors call calcinosis,
meaning calcium is pulled from the bones and deposited into soft
tissue, settling in your arteries, joints and skin, causing arthritis
and the pale, hard, wrinkled look of aging. Calcium deposits can
also cause strokes and circulation problems. What chelation therapy
does is remove calcium from the soft tissues, where it doesn't belong,
and puts it hack into the bones, where it does belong.
In other words, Chelation can increase bone density.
For maximum benefit, EDTA therapy should be accompanied
by a carefully tailored program of vitamin and mineral supplements. This
is because of the delicate balance of nutrients and the body's use
of calcium. For example, those with low intakes of vitamin D have
higher parathyroid function in the winter. The parathyroid glands
draw on calcium reserves in the bone to keep blood levels normal.
Parahormone is the hormone excreted by the parathyroid glands, which
control calcium and phosphorus metabolism.

HYALURONIC ACID (HA)
HA is a special mucopolysaccharide that is the normal lubricant in
human joints. When present in a joint, even one with minimal or
no cartilage, it provides a cushion effect. It is also part of
connective tissue and joins cells together.
Aging causes the hyaluronic acid in the skin to decrease, leaving
the skin dry and wrinkled. Replenishing the HA levels in the body
allow the skin to retain moisture, leaving the skin soft, supple,
and wrinkle-free. It is used in many cosmetics such as make-up and
moisturizing creams.
Synthovial 7™ by longevity plus is Hyaluronic
Acid (HA). The dose is one drop a day (3 mgm) in a glass of water.
